Description:

  • Assist with managing and maintaining high-level student records in compliance with institutional policies and FERPA regulations.
  • Support data collection and analysis for commencement ceremonies, including preparing reports and lists for graduating students.
  • Assist with student outreach efforts, including responding to inquiries and providing information related to graduation and commencement.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for the planning and execution of commencement ceremonies.
  • Learn and utilize Ellucian Banner to access, update, and manage student data.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely information is available for graduation-related activities.

This internship is part of the Spring 2025 Professional Internship Program. To be eligible for the program you must:

  • Be enrolled as an SUU student during the course of the internship.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Provide thoughtful responses in your application.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive student records and ensure compliance with FERPA regulations.
  • Experience with data collection, reporting, and event planning is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and use Ellucian Banner for student data management.
